Trained in EMDR
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BCACC (#19963). The bulk of my experience is working with trauma, complex trauma (ex. sexual assault/exploitation) as well as focusing on attachment within families and relationships. When I work with teens, I am keenly aware that enlisting the wisdom of the family is as valuable as building a strong therapeutic relationship with an adolescent. I have worked with teens who might be described as "high risk" and have an eye for building a strong relationship even when your teen is feeling sceptical about counselling.
I have a special interest in working with people struggling with fertility, pregnancy, and the postpartum experience. If you have struggled with any of these issues, you have a unique perspective that requires an understanding of the many contextual layers that impact how you are feeling.
If you're on the fence about counselling, not sure if it's right for you or you're wary about finding the right match, book a free 15 minute consultation and trust your gut. Worst case, you never speak to me again and you spent 15 minutes learning more about what you want in a counsellor.

As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), I believe in treating the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you feel genuinely supported and empowered to heal and grow.
Over the past 17 years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals facing trauma, addiction, and mental health challenges. I’ve worked with teens navigating difficult emotions, anxiety, and depression, as well as with adults in community, correctional, and psychiatric settings. My passion lies in helping clients discover hope, resilience, and lasting change.
Whether you’re navigating personal or relationship struggles, or coping with life transitions such as illness, loss, grief, or divorce, I’m here to support you. Having moved through my own life transitions, I deeply understand the importance of feeling supported. I especially enjoy helping women through key life stages, including menopause, and bring extensive experience in working with men across a wide range of concerns.
In our work together, I draw on proven therapeutic approaches tailored to your needs—such as EMDR (for processing past trauma), AEDP (an experiential approach that draws on emotional and somatic awareness), and polyvagal theory (to support nervous system regulation).
Reaching out for therapy is a courageous first step, and I want to help you feel as comfortable as possible. Let’s start with a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit. I look forward to supporting you on your journey.

As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, I feel very privileged and find it an honor to walk with clients on this messy journey called life. Life can be amazing sometimes, but life can also be difficult, fraught with challenges. We were never meant to do this on our own. I work with adults as clients, and I also work with youths as clients.
I know how difficult it is to ask for help and reach out. It requires strength and vulnerability. So, thank you for coming to this page and taking the next step.
My approach to counselling
I am a very good listener and this makes the biggest difference in the two of us doing the work that lies ahead - you know you are being heard. Through our work together, we can utilize the power of connection and how every human being longs to be seen, heard, and understood. This in turn leads to greater clarity for steps ahead.
I believe that we are the experts of our own lives and stories. No one knows our own lives and our own selves better than each of us do. Therefore, my focus is on being client-centered. I believe that the past can inform the present, and so psychodynamic considerations are important. Incorporating stories is an important element in using narrative therapy with a humanistic approach.
I am warm, compassionate, and with a touch of humor, and my clients would describe me as non-judgmental, very real, and authentic.
Let’s walk forward together

Insofar as neurodivergence as a focus, I have also worked as a teacher, specifically with children/youth who have specific needs and challenges. As a result, I have a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience of the education system both here in Canada and the UK. I understand the frustration that parents and students face, especially if the student has learning challenges and/or is neurodivergent. It can feel very lonely. I am a huge advocate for those who feel like they have no voice, especially in an education setting. Even as a parent, I understand this intimately.

Anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem can feel overwhelming, and you don’t have to face it alone. I work with teens and adults experiencing these concerns, as well as relationship stress, life transitions, grief & loss, and feelings of overwhelm. We’ll work collaboratively, and at times I might ask challenging questions to help you explore new perspectives or parts of yourself as you move toward clarity. Not sure where to start? That is completely okay. I will support you as we explore your inner world and make sense of what’s going on. This is a space where you—or your teen—can show up without pressure and where it’s okay not to have everything figured out.
Wondering if your teen might be neurodivergent? Hearing terms like ADHD or Autism can be overwhelming. I have worked with teens who are diagnosed with ADHD or Autism, as well as those who haven't had an assessment. As a parent, you might also be looking for support with setting limits while helping your adolescent mature with the confidence to make mistakes. Neurodiverse teens can struggle between masking their behaviours and learning to accept themselves for the unique and awesome people they are. I can support your teen (and you) in navigating through the daily grind of school/friends/family/social media in a way that works for them, not always for everyone else.
Your goals and strengths will lead the direction of therapy, with a few tweaks here and there. We will consider your current relationships as well as your childhood to inform us of how your body’s Nervous System directs and impacts you each day. As you learn more about your body’s fight/flight/freeze responses you will begin to understand your emotional responses and choose different ways to express yourself. Therapy can sometimes be intimidating, so my job is to help you feel relaxed, maybe even laugh a little at ourselves. We will create space for difficult emotions and might find new ways to respond to familiar challenges. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine, supportive relationship—one where you feel heard, respected, and understood.
Whether you're reaching out for yourself or for your teen, I offer an approach that respects your unique experiences and supports growth at your own pace.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with a Master of Counselling Psychology. My approach is deeply client-centered, and I support individuals through an integrated therapeutic framework that draws on a range of evidence-based modalities. At the core of my work is a belief that each person is the expert of their own lived experience, and that healing begins when we honour that truth.
I bring a holistic perspective to counselling, recognizing the importance of our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual experiences in shaping overall well-being. My approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and collaboration, and I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals can explore their inner world, navigate life’s challenges, and foster meaningful personal growth.
Before becoming a counsellor, I held leadership roles in corporate environments, which gave me valuable insight into organizational dynamics, workplace stress, and the critical importance of mental health in professional settings. This experience informs my work with clients who are navigating both personal and career-related challenges.
Equity and inclusion are central to my practice, a commitment that is deeply rooted in my personal experience as a parent of neurodiverse children. I have meaningful experience working with neurodiverse individuals and am dedicated to supporting people from all backgrounds and identities. I aim to understand and respect each client’s unique cultural, social, and personal context, ensuring that the therapeutic process is affirming, respectful, and empowering.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, hiking, biking, swimming, playing tennis, and exploring the incredible beauty of our natural world.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with BCACC (British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors) and I've been counselling for 21+ years. I specialize in working with teens struggling with anxiety, depression, Trauma and substance use/dependency. I also work with families struggling with connection, where often times there are underlying mental health challenges.
Coming to counselling takes courage to look deep into ourselves. You are looking to make changes, and perhaps some of those changes are within yourself, and some are with your situation. Let's start with a conversation. We often overlook why or how our coping mechanisms arose, and often these strategies get in our way. Before we realize it, we're back doing the same thing we've always done and swore we would stop doing a thousand times ago.
If you are a parent and struggling with a teen who is dealing with their own mental health symptoms, there is much we can do! I work with families, no matter the structure or situation. If your teen is not cool with counselling, not a problem. One of my areas of specialty is working with individuals who feel they are mandated to counselling. It requires a nuanced approach, where your child feels they are heard and seen.
