Registered with BC Association of
Clinical Counsellors
Away from Oct. 4 to 20, 2024
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #21672), and have worked with individuals in the process of changing their lives for over 15 years in correctional and psychiatric settings. I have a passion for observing how our minds, bodies and souls are connected, and creating a safe place for my clients to experience healing that begins with feeling understood and known.
I believe that our ability to connect with ourselves and others is foundational for caring for our mental health. I consider it a privilege to come alongside my clients as they work towards their personal goals in therapy. I use a client-centred approach with a trauma-informed lens, drawing from research supported modalities such as AEDP (Applied Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), applied Polyvagal Theory, Attachment Theory, CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Theory) and Mindfulness.
The relationship between the therapist and client is of utmost importance for a positive therapeutic outcome, and because of this I offer a free introductory session (15 - 30 minutes) so we can connect and assess whether we are a good fit for your counselling goals. Reaching out to seek a therapist is a brave step to take; you need to feel at ease and trust the person you work with. Let me know how I can support you.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with BCACC (British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors) and I've been counselling for over 20 years. I specialize in working with teens struggling with anxiety, depression, Trauma and substance use/dependency. I also work with families struggling with connection, where often times there are underlying mental health challenges.
Coming to counselling takes courage to look deep into ourselves. You are looking to make changes, and perhaps some of those changes are within yourself, and some are with your situation. Let's start with a conversation. It is likely that not many people know or understand why or how your coping mechanisms arose, and often these strategies get in our way. Before we realize it, we're back doing the same thing we've always done and swore we would stop doing a thousand times ago.
If you are a parent and struggling with a teen who is dealing with their own mental health symptoms, there is much we can do! I work with families, no matter the structure or situation. If your teen is not cool with counselling, not a problem. One of my areas of speciality is working with individuals who feel they are mandated to counselling. It requires a nuanced approach, where your child feels they are heard and seen.
